Senior Interactive Account Manager

The Opportunity

Beyond’s San Francisco Office is looking to hire a seasoned Account Manager to manage Paid Search & SEO – focused account relationships.

Ideal candidates will have 3-4 years’ interactive account management experience, with broad exposure to paid search, landing page development, SEO, and a working understanding of social ad targeting.

Position Overview

As the Senior Account Manager, you will have proven experience working at an online marketing, search marketing agency, or email marketing agency.

Your primary duties will revolve around managing projects, relationships, and client expectations for search-heavy accounts, providing handholding and analysis, and pitching new business.

You will be confident and comfortable talking to clients and have the ability to understand client needs as well as translating “geek speak” search knowledge into a language more familiar to the client. Both analytical and creative, you should have experience with both B2B and B2C clients.

The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable communicating ideas and change, and will enjoy a sense of ownership over their projects. There are currently no P&L responsibilities associated with this role.

A working knowledge and comfort with Web Analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Coremetrics, WebTrends, or Omniture is essential, but you don’t have to be super-technical or code. Just be very comfortable using analytics tools, pulling together reports and analysis, and explaining reports to clients. A basic working knowledge of SEO concepts and tools is also helpful, but you do not need to be an SEO expert or super-technical.

Responsibilities

  • Explaining basic SEO and PPC concepts to clients
  • Explaining social media ad targeting, development and deployment
  • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on paid search, SEO, and social media ads including trend analysis
  • PPC & social media copy development

Requirements

  • 4+ years of client relationship management experience
  • 3-4 years of relevant interactive agency experience with strong exposure to PPC and SEO campaigns
  • Self motivated, detail oriented and able to prioritize daily work efficiently
  • Must be comfortable analyzing data and spotting trends
  • Some experience with social media ads (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc), even if it was a test campaign for a friend’s local business.
  • Prior understanding and involvement with large-scale clients and campaigns
  • Some experience creating PPC campaigns is desirable but not required
  • Comfortable performing basic functions with spreadsheet programs
  • Strong coordination skills and an ability to balance delivery dates for multiple clients
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good PowerPoint skills, from report creation to presentation
  • Good relationship management & communication skills

    This is a salaried position with benefits and a bonus scheme. The salary range is from $75,000 – $95,000 based on experience.
